Public Invitation to the Fiscal Year 2011 Budget Work Sessions

The Cecil County Board of Education encourages the public to attend their work sessions on the Fiscal Year 2011 Budget Request. While all Board of Education meetings are open to the public, your input is greatly appreciated during consideration of the budget for the upcoming school year.

On Monday, January 25 at 5:30 p.m., an introduction to the budget request will be provided.  Topics to be discussed include: revenue projections, enrollment data, the construction budget, and use of ARRA funds.

The Administrative Services budget will be discussed on Tuesday, February 16, 5:30 p.m.

The Education Services budget will be covered on Monday, February 22, 5:30 p.m.

An overview of the entire budget (including any revisions made during the previous sessions) will be presented during the FY11 Budget Hearing on Monday, March 1, 6:30 p.m.

There will be an opportunity for public comments during each meeting.

All meetings will be held at the George Washington Carver Education Leadership Center, 201 Booth Street, Elkton.
