Biography

Megan F. Byrne has been a resident of Cecil County most of her life and a student in the Cecil County Public School System for twelve years. She attended Kenmore Elementary and Cherry Hill Middle, and is currently in her senior year at Elkton High. Megan has enjoyed all of her years in Cecil County schools, and she hopes to someday return and teach in the county.

During her years at Elkton High, Megan has participated in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, and Key Club. She has played on the Varsity Tennis Team for three years. In addition, Megan represented Elkton High as the 2008 Hugh O’Brian ambassador. Megan enjoys her involvement in her school community and is devoted to service and helping others.

As Student Member of the Board, Megan is excited to have the opportunity to immerse herself in the various aspects and inner workings of the education system since she plans to major in the field of education in college. During her term, Megan hopes to be able to give back to the school system which has helped shape her into the person she is today.
